"Whoa! Big singles alert!
These two are both fantastic. The percussion and beat programming should ignite a dancehall or two, and I like the vocal work too -- subtle, appropriate and well delivered on both releases. "Dime La Verdad" is a scorcher - solid beats and production. Valeria sounds lovely on "Grey."
Also really like Ashleigh Ball on Myles single. Radio and club play for both these singles..."

It's been a long time coming, but Future Elements' huge double EP release is just around the corner as two of Vancouver's most prominent producers, Aklimatize and Myles Bigelow, are given their own EPs by this hot local start-up. What's it all about? The Politik is Bémbé Ségué and Mark de Clive-Lowe. Bémbé's the ubiquitous vocal and writing talent behind tunes by Bugz in the Attic, 4Hero, Silhouette Brown and MdCL's Tide's Arising album. MdCL is the musician and producer behind hundreds of future soul rubs with Omar, Platinum Pied Pipers, DJ Spinna, Dego, Kenny Dope and plenty more.
The Politik's self-titled debut album is finished and ready to be unleashed summer 2007. Featuring Bémbé on the mic joined by guests Blu, Bahamadia and RepLife and MdCL on the production with guests Waajeed (Bling47), Daz I-Kue (Bugz in the Attic) and Jason Yarde. Why are we so excited about this release here at Future Elements? About one year ago, at the time of the Vancouver International Jazz Festival, Mark and Bémbé performed two heavy shows, then spent the next 3 days locked in the Future Elements studio, writing and recording for this project.
