Its no wonder why tracks from this CD have been making noise on select playlists well before it's available in the shops. Future Elements got a recent listen to this selection and we do have to say its certified PR sun-burnt hot...come on, tracks from John Arnold, David Borsu, Surra, Masoul, Titonton Duvante, Rojas, African Sciences, Aklimatize and more from the worldwide familia. All compiled by the slick beat heads from the Amalgama label of Puerto Rico, this is a taste of what's brewing inside and outside of San Juan. WELL REPRESENTED AT BARCELONA FESTIVAL SONAR 2005

This was a last minute flight to say the least, booked just 24hrs before departure, Aklimatize was packing his shorts, sunglasses and CDRs and heading to Spain for Sonar Festival, hooking up with some old and new friends from around the world. Playing sets in and around the festival for the RBMA tribe, looking forward to dropping some of the forthcoming Future Elements releases from Valeria's Novalua Ep and the latest Puerto Rico sessions that are close to complete. Nuff respect to Dirk Rumpff once again, from OFFtrack radio, also representing in Barcelona for Sonar festival, check out www.Offtrack.org for his radio show and checkout a listen to this weeks show playing Aklimatize's remix of Daz-i-kue's 'Soon Come' feat Col. FUTURE ELEMENTS AND AMALGAMA RECORDINGS PUERTO RICO PARTNER UP - IN AND OUT OF THE STUDIO

It was a good long haul keepin up with the likes of Jeremey Ellis (Ayro), John Arnold, Alun Rivers (Surra) and Santiago Cevallos between the Winter Music Conference in Miami and the ongoing activities afterwards in San Juan, PR, but Rob Anhofer (Aklimatize) is back in Vancouver in one piece - complete with many pieces of recorded trackings from some heavy Puerto Rican vocalists and musicians. Working together with Amalgama recordings producer / label head Juan 'Chuckie' Rojas and a talented Welsh producer coming by the name of Surra, traditional rhumba and other broken island riddims meet these forward thinking producers and the sounds laid down are right. Now, as production work and continued recordings are in progress from three corners of the globe, the partnership created between Amalgama and Future Elements is on - Watch out for this one! Check out brokenbeatradio.com for the latest live set from Surra, featuring tracks by both Rojas and Aklimatize.
